What a great last week! We did all sorts of festive activities including: festive stations, Home Alone, and Grinch Mountain. It was super fun! Have an excellent holiday break everyone. Also, special shout out to Parent Council for the delicious meal they provided for staff on Friday.

This week we played some "festive games." We started with a game I call Snowfort Battle, then played Home Alone, and we finished the week off playing Winter Wonderland. I really enjoyed Winter Wonderland because it incorporated running, teamwork, and creativity. Make sure to ask your child/children how it worked. Below are some pictures of what the students created during the game:

We wrapped up our hockey unit last week, and instead focused on some high-energy running games this week. Some of the games included Indy 500, Mario Tag, Squished Ants Tag, Snakepit, and Bean Bag Toe Tag. Students are getting excited for the holidays, and these high-energy games are great to get that energy out. Ask your son or daughter about their favourite game they played this week.

This week marked the culmination of our floor hockey unit. Students used the skills they practiced for the past few weeks, and played some floor hockey games. It was great to see the students trying their best and getting competitive. We ended each game by shaking our opponents' hands and saying "good game."
