It’s been great to see all the students back in the gym and excited to move again! For the first few days, we spent time reviewing our PE rules and expectations so that everyone could get back into good routines and safe habits. Today, to celebrate the Halloween spirit, we played Zombie Tag. It is a fun and energetic game that got everyone running, laughing, and showing off their best zombie moves! It was the perfect way to end our first week back and get pumped up for Halloween. I’m looking forward to another great stretch of learning, teamwork, and fun in PE! - Mr. van Sluys

This short week, PE classes continued working on overhand throws while enjoying the outdoors. Students in Grades 1 and 2 practiced with soft foam balls, focusing on proper technique, accuracy, and building confidence. Grades 3 and 4 challenged themselves with footballs, learning how to step, aim, and throw with power and control. We played a variation of Leapfrog Touchdowns, and students also learned the classic recess game, Jackpot! Because our Grade 3, 4 and EES students began their Alien Inline residency this week in the gymnasium, regular gym classes took place outside. It was a great chance to get fresh air, stay active, and keep developing throwing skills. Have a great weekend! - Mr. van Sluys
