First of all, I am sorry for not posting a blog last Friday.  It was a PD Day, and sometimes when the routine is different I forget.  This is why routines are so important, especially in the gym.  When kids know what to expect day in and day out, there is less worrying and anxiety about the day.  The routines in the gym are the exact same pretty much everyday, and students, for the most part, know exactly what to expect when the enter the gymnasium.

Last week we finished up basketball by playing some actual basketball games.  It was super fun watching the students make passes to their teammates, play defence, and shoot.  We improved a lot from our first game to our last!

This week students worked with the scoops.  On the first day we practiced some skills and tricks.  On the second and third day, students played some throwing and catching games with the scoops.

This is a reminder to grade 3 and 4 students that swimming starts next week, so please remember:

- I encourage students to wear their swimsuits under their clothes in the morning so that we can get changed quickly at the pool.

- Bring a spare bag with a towel and underwear in it.

- Students can bring goggles, but they cannot cover the nose.

- Students with long hair would improve their experience by having it tied back or in braids.

- Please remind your son or daughter to change quickly after swimming because we need to be on time for the bus so the next class can board on time.
