This past week was our last week of swimming. I was really proud of all the grade 3 and 4 students for stepping outside of their comfort zones at the pool. Many students experienced "firsts" throughout the week, like diving from the starter blocks, putting their head under water, and swimming without a PFD.
Thank you to all staff and students for being flexible and making swimming work. Also thanks to School Council for paying for the bus and subsidizing the cost of swimming.
Students in K-2 continued learning soccer skills. We worked on our side kick throughout the week. Ask your son or daughter about their favourite soccer game/activity this week.
Starting next week, every Thursday is going to be a Walk or Ride Day. Each Thursday everyone at MTS is encouraged to get to school in an active way. This could include walking, biking, scootering, skateboarding, anything to get to school in an active way! Students can store their bikes or scooters at the bike racks at the front of the school. Hopefully they are nice and full this Thursday!
