Outside Fun

Hi families!

We had an action-packed week in PE, and while our gym is getting a fresh coat of paint, we’ve taken our energy outdoors! From kindergarten to grade 4, students have been running, laughing, and staying active in the fresh spring air.

Tag, You're It (Again and Again!)

This week was all about TAG games—and wow, did we play a lot of them! Here’s a peek at some of the favorites:

  • Predator and Prey: Fast feet and quick thinking were key as students dodged and dashed to stay away from the predator.

  • Group Tag: Teamwork made the dream work here, with students working together to tag or protect each other.  The fastest group won.

  • VIP Tag: Students were in teams of four, and one special student became the VIP each round while the rest had to work together to keep them safe!

  • Secret Agent Tag: Stealth mode activated—this one had students sneaking, weaving, and laughing as they played spy-style tag.

These games are not only fun—they also help build cardiovascular fitness and keep everyone moving!

Pyramid Run Power 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We finished the week strong with a Pyramid Run—a running activity where students chose how far to run - the further they ran the more points they could accumulate. It challenged students to pace themselves and push their limits, and they totally rose to the occasion.

A Note on the Outdoors

Most students came ready for the weather, and we were so proud of how they adapted to being outside. Some were definitely chilly without jackets or mitts, but almost no one complained.

We’ll be back in the gym next week.  But it won't be long till we are back outdoors loving the fresh air and wide-open space. Thanks for making sure your kids come prepared for outdoor movement—we really appreciate your support!

Stay active and have a great weekend!
