Throwing Skills and Fall Community Walks
This week in PE, we focused on developing our overhand throwing skills, with a special emphasis on stepping toward our target to generate more power and improve accuracy. Students put their skills into practice through a variety of fun games, including Leapfrog Touchdowns, Crazy Ball Pin Knockdown, and Trench Ball. These activities gave everyone plenty of opportunities to practise their throwing mechanics while staying active and having fun!
On Wednesday, we headed outside for our community walks and enjoyed some amazing fall colours. Walking is a great way to support our overall well-being. Physically, it helps build endurance and keeps our bodies active. Emotionally, spending time outdoors can help reduce stress and improve our mood. Socially, walking together gives us opportunities to connect with classmates, practise positive communication, and build a stronger sense of community.
It was a great week of learning, movement, and enjoying the beautiful fall weather!
